You said there were other groups “like NE” that came out “way before”

NE debuted in 78...literally off the heels of J5

Its already been stated that Motown r&b soul groups(including J5) are the OGs with J5 being the most influential...you still with me? Good.


Now...who was another group that came after J5 and before NE that planted the seed....since there were groups “like NE” before NE Goldie...

Like I said MODERN R&B and Pop male groups can be traved directly back to New Edition

There are other side groups...but NE is the group/influence that ushered in MODERN R&B

basicaly on some composite score shit...


NE gotta few throw away albums......and throw away songs on every album....same with B2M...they be utting a lotta songs on their albums that's only a 4 or 5 or a scale of 1-10...


Dru HIll be having whole albums of 8 or better songs....

just better quality music, better written, acoustically, harmony....everything
not saying the other groups don't have their classics. but Dru music to this day is still levels above their shit on pure listening quality music you can rock right now...

I'm 100% with GOldie on this one right now, and that's rare as fuck in music

That's all I'm saying. As a grown ass man u can put on DH's albums and they still sound dope af today. That bubble gum shit N.E made sounds trash today. Yall really playin that sht with ur lady? Really? Yea they got a couple dope grown rnb joints, but it's not close to DH's.

Now B2M is a better debate, but even then, it doesn't stack up.
