Juice. Boys In The Hood spoke about a lot of things but in the end, it was just lacking something to me. Like why would Ricky and Tre split up when the gunman is looking for them? Then y’all are walking slow as fuck knowing they looking for yall? It’s stupid. Even though I like how it tackled certain situations thar people hardly ever address.
Doughboy and Ricky was brothers, and their mother clearly favored one over the other. A lot of women don’t address that level of abuse. It’s wrong but it happens all the time.
Or Furious when he talked about gentrification.
but I think Juice was a better quality movie. Bishop was a sociopath that was off the leash as soon as he got that gun.
