Lmao didn't expect Marlon to be Lou. Good episode, but kinda disappointed after all the buildup for the answer to just be "He was locked up but he still a deadbeat"
Should've seen it coming since the whole show was about 2nd chances for struggling black men

Ashley suddenly came to life this episode, speaking out on things nobody else would notice. Hope she gets to breathe more in S2
The "Seems like nobody wants me" line fell a bit flat since not only does his Bel Air family want him back, both Tray and his mom practically begged him to return to Philly and he chose not to, and his dad begged to come back into his life and Will told him to fuck off

It doesn't hit the same as the OG show where Will was desperately trying to reconnect with his dad and his dad abandoned him again. "How come he don't want me man" after all his rage hits way harder.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Will is written as particularly emotionally volatile but the show makes it seem like he's right no matter what he does or says.

I doubt they ever delve into the mom actually being problematic even though she definitely is.
