Ars mentions Fetty Wap mad times, NJ really don't got any rappers like NY or Cali. They really only got Budden, Redman but you rarely see them collaborating with new NJ artists.

Every rapper from Jayz to DMX started off battle rapping but they're not battle rappers. Cass is an industry rapper who fell off and came back to battle rap, same with Canibus.

You can't claim to have ever been a battle rapper if you weren't in an officially sanctioned battle. Scribble Jam. Fight Klub. Freestyle Friday. Going verse for verse on some cypher shit was just regular if you grew up rapping.
