By his own admission, some of his biggest moments were on last minute prep and he fell into thinking he could prep for every battle like that.

It’s like athletes would don’t eat right, who don’t sleep enough…talent can only carry them so far. He’s way too unprofessional but a couple « strapped in » in a couple good battles and he’ll be right in people’s good graces. Until next time.

That's the tricky part. Many people have heard his rounds prior to him fucking up and they were confused when he messed up. And that's when he was prepared. So when he's not prepared, add the anxiety of not being sure of his memorization, the magnitude of certain events etc...If he's not changing something in his approach, anything, he'll never evolve. Chess used to be shaky, now he doesn't seem to have that problem anymore.
