I'm not ashamed I was born before you and didn't die yet.I would have to go back and listen again but you only saying that because nostalgia you on some old head shit. If you was born in 2000’s you would agree Kenny better.
No it's not just nostalgia. Those lyrics and delivery and what not still hold up until this day.
Nas along with people like Redman, black Moon, and Wu-Tang helped to bring in a new golden era of lyricism.
You have a limited point of reference.
Every new generation thinks what they did was the best and depending on what is,it might be true but K Dot stands on the shoulders of giants.
No era in hip hop took a bigger leap in skill level like the early 90's mcs as a whole.
I think K Dot is phenomenal.I am a fan no matter how old I am.
As fan of hip hop I just know how those albums hit the streets Pre internet, all word of mouth and grass roots promo.
You had to actually go to the store to buy that shit.
"Old heads" as you say like K Dot because he would have been a good artist back then, but in comparison the competition was way harder .
He wouldn't have towered over Jay,Pac,Em,Nas,or Dmx for example.
If I was 10, I might think Skittles are better than Filet mignon ,but I would be wrong.
