Are You Patriotic?

America is ‘"anti-American"’ .
Judging by its horrific, racist ,bigoted, sexist bloody, and treacherous history.
It has never fully lived up to the morals, principles, and values it claims to stand for.

You don't find that weird...it the very least hyper-hypercritical ?
No I dont understand Ameica is "anti-American" because that's simply an oxymoronic statement.
Are you oppressed? Are you suffering from post traumatic slave syndrome?

It’s not an oxymoron...it’s a critique. America talks about freedom, equality, and justice, but its history shows it hasn’t lived up to that. Pointing that out isn't ‘"anti-American"’

And that whole ‘"are you oppressed?’" or ‘"post traumatic slave syndrome’" comment?
That’s not even addressing what I said—it’s just dodging the point.
That just deflection. The question isn’t about me personally, it’s about whether the country has lived up to what it claims. And historically, that’s debatable at best.

It doesn't seem like a critique to me. I asked because you kind of come off that way. Those other countries aren't better off. That's why they keep coming over here for better opportunities and warning Americans of previous regimes that some blindly support. Yes, America is the Greatest. No matter what its been through. It's the most influential country ever. It's lived up and stood the test of time.

What makes America the greatest?

As someone that was born in UK and is now a US citizen, I claim my Jamaican heritage more than any thing else.

It’s a shame that black Africans and Caribbeans come to America and don’t want to give Foundational Black Americans any credit for having a culture that is separate from theirs.

Let any non FBA black American win an award or get any shine, the first thing they are going to claim is Nigeria, Haiti, Jamaica…

Other countries not being better off doesn't mean America has lived up to what it purports itself to be. Because by its own metrics it's is actively failing in real time. And yes...there are people here are who are oppressed.

Americans should root for an illegal war, especially when they see their country murder 150 plus little girls?
That's patriotism?

There is a discussion to be had that even when your country does some clearly wild shit to start a conflict, would you want them to lose knowing what losing a war usually means?

Don’t start senseless, illegal wars with nations that can actually fight back.
Maybe stick to bullying and subjugating third world countries instead??

I agree...but that doesn't answer the question for the reality at hand. And it's not an easy one at all

What does it mean for America to lose a war.

Korean War?
Vietnam War?
Iraq War?
Afghanistan War?
All considered losses

Iran?
Shaping up to be another L

But what does it mean ???

Do some of you guys feel Joe Kent is a patriot or anti-American?
