Anybody with a bad a** teenager......

My son has gotten better as he's gotten older

Nothing outta the normal. His worst was like 3-9

My son just got to 1 year and this mf attitude keeps popping up. Im like "where the fuck did my cool little man go?!?!"

Mf throws food on the ground. I yell at him to stop. He locks in on my eyes. Slowly grabs food, slowly puts it to his side and slowly opens his hand until it drops to the floor. No smile, no emotion no nothing. He just wants to see me upset. He's a sick fuck

I also think wrestling helped him mature.

And even though he's crazy young to have a gf, she kept him in line at school in 7th and 8th grade. Like his outbursts and classroom disruptive behaviors went down dramatically when they started going together.

She told him he acts embarrassing. And then he keeps getting punished. Bro did a complete 180. They've been together 2 almost 3 years now. 🤷🏿‍♂️

In VA can’t send a kid anywhere unless they consent or locked up. Which makes no sense for kids with mental health issues. Always some new shit every month

My sister went to scared straight when she was about 8. It scared her out of setting fires, but she kept doing other bad shit.

My daughter isn't bad, but she does have a digital dependency i need to correct. Way too much screen time, it feels like its killing her desire to try life in real life. I hear way too much "expert" attitude for someone who can't cite any sources beyond social media.

Shut off the wifi for her specific devices. Most routers allow you to set up blocks of time where wifi is available for specific devices, but you'll need to get the MAC address for her stuff to do it properly, which is still usually viewable in the router's config screens.

I'm doing it this weekend after I finish configuring my firewall. My youngest daughter has a problem with getting off her laptops to go to bed at a decent hour, so I'mma shut 'em down at 11:30-12am.

With my oldest we set a time limit on his tablet that only we have the password to change. So once he gets close to the limit it warns him then shuts off when he hits it. It's helped him regulate the time he spends on it.

See, stuff like this is what a lot of parents utterly refuse to learn to do. Years ago I set up my kids PC's so I could remotely view their Windows desktop so my wife and I could see exactly what they were doing and I also had IE locked down with parental controls so any website that had been flagged as adult or not for kids were blocked.

Lotta folks try to claim they don't have time or know how to do the things necessary to keep their kids from seeing shit they really shouldn't, but the information is out there. Plus, you get stuff like your response and mine that maybe some folks never considered possible, but you never know if you don't look.

Yeah even something as simple as because now tv comes with apps for YouTube, Netflix etc...so we set it up so to even change from his profile on any of them you need to enter a password so he can't try to switch to one of ours and watch something he shouldn't be seeing.

My biological kids are pretty good...driven/self motivated....intelligent....good hearts....don't cause me any real trouble...etc. However, I have 2 step kids that have a history of.......problems (18 yr old step-daughter and 19 yr old...soon to be 20 step-son). The girl just turned 18 this year and didn't last a month past here bday before her mom got fed up w/ the years of shit she's been dealing with ( pathological liar, bad grades, lazy, sneaky, combative, zero accountability, zero drive...and the list goes on) and kicked her out after a last straw incident. The step-son has been in and out of "places" since he was 14/15 due to similar issues as his sister + other things. He got locked up less than 2 months after he turned 18 for some shit that could've got him 3-8 yrs. He spent a little over a year in jail fighting that before it got resolved. Got out of jail and didn't last 4 months. Now he's back in jail on some other shit that his mom explicitly warned him about (and he ignored) and might get violated. Niggas is legally grown now and have been on bs for so many years that I've washed me hands of it. Only advice I have for them now is ...... play stupid games..........win stupid prizes.

Yeah, my son was a handful.. But we've been consistent.

But my nieces???

Lawd.

I had one who had us in court cuz she beat up some lady that was protecting her daughter from my niece

I had another niece that had to be committed. And placed in special care. As an adult she got 2 kids, and last summer cut off her ankle foot monitor as she was leaving the station. She still on the run, but move like everything normal.

We actually had another niece for about 3 years, and just couldn't do it no more. She's a whole menace as well
