Anticipated Collabs That Were Let Downs

Ppl seemed to like it but i thought Watch The Throne woulda been better

I thought niggas was gonna be having watch the throne all over this bitch..after the hype went down I enjoyed watch the throne. It was a good album, but them dudes were gonna have to put out a flawless classic to match the hype that surrounded that shit b4 it came out. I always thought the sequencing on the album hurt it's impact. That Beyonce track being number two was a mind fuck...like why would you put that there w so many good tracks on the joint.

B.R. is exactly what youd expect when thinking what those 2 would do together.

That was my rationale. It wasn't no corny shit, they just went in on a hard unorthodox beat. Jay smartly addressed the dame shit, which kinda took the listener s focus away from the Nas beef. I still think Nas got him. However jay wasn't really on some super ima out bar you shit, it was more of some storytelling vibe.

The problem with these collabs is people automatically think of the rapper at their best when they see them collabing with someone who's on the same legendary level as them. You see "Nas & Jay-Z" you're not thinking of Change Clothes and You Owe Me, you're thinking Blueprint and Illmatic.

Same kinda thing with WTT. Sure Kanye was coming off of MBDTF but Jay's last good album was American Gangster, and before that it was The Black Album.
