You're moving the goalpoasts
Your post is all over the place. You say 2k back in the day gave you luxury and that $300 now gets you cramped in a tin can. Well no shit lol
You sure you were in 1st class? Lol
And my post is true. I've seen my local theater get a few million facelift and it was so much better. There are lots of amusement parks that have expanded because of the more money that comes in from the increased customers. I know for a fact concerts can get better acts when they can get more money
A boutique cinema with real film is better than any chain that sells $15 pop corn so it can pay for reclining seats.
A private show is better than a concert.
You are describing mass market experiences that are created to appease everyone, to attract the most people, to get to scale, and it's an insidious loop of racing toward the bottom due to profit incentives and profit margins.
Which is how you get tin can airplane rides and having to pay for bags.
And that's commoner shit, it doesn't make it better. It's just regular people get a sliver of the life that people with money can have, by companies making shitty mass market experiences.
There's restaurants that only sit 20 people at a time and it's the best food in the world. They aren't interested in appealing to a mass of people, but people that appreciate great food and willing to pay for it.
And yeah, a regular coach seat in the 60s and 70s is better than the average first class seat now lol.
A chartered flight is closer to the experience of taking a flight in the 60s and 70s.
Pan Am gave you attractive people that provided good service and a sense of leisure.
Now, airplanes are the equivalent of a Greyhound bus lol.
