So I start there a few weeks ago and I’m so paranoid about doing the job right that I’m not showing enough enthusiasm towards my coworkers. On Monday, the woman who got me the job told me they like me but I need to try to “be part of the team”. Next few days I am working and getting to know my coworkers and shit. Yesterday, I answer the most phone calls and emails. One of the top guys tells me that I can leave early. It’s after 4 and I usually leave at 4:30. I asked him a few times if he’s sure I can leave early and he says yes so I do. A few hours later the girl who got me the job tells me that my assignment ended and I’m no longer needed. I keep calling her but she does pick up. I’m gonna give her a piece of my mind when I finally get to talk to her

Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life.

But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain't you!

You're better than that!

I’m ok with immigration. No I don’t think all 100% of immigrants dislike Black Americans. I also feel like in Central and South America the US government has destabilized a lot of those places where conditions are terrible. I’m not mad they want better. Shit we occupied Afghanistan for 20 years and left them to wolves. If a slew of them came here I wouldn’t be mad.
