Aite it's time to give credit. Conversation about New Rappers

The way I see it, rapping can be singing somewhat in a melodic way.

If James Brown is considered the Godfather of Hip Hop because of how he sang over a beat, if Bone Thugs and Harmony, Nelly, Ja Rule and 50 Cent can sing their hooks and be a considered rappers, I say let the new dudes sing songy their hooks.

The truth is, being sing songy makes more money and you can do more musically. These new rappers, all their favorites could carry a little tune.

I see Hip Hop going the way of Reggaeton, where "rappers" make nothing but sing songy songs.

I blame RnB and Rock becoming "old folks music" for the reason rappers are now yodeling on the track.
I see what you are saying, I blame 808 and Heartbreak and Drake for this shit. Like my thing is diversity. I'm not against the Futures, Lil Baby's, and Travis Scotts my thing is I don't want that shit to become the baseline standard of being a rapper. Like how in the hell is the Kid Leroi considered a rapper?

I think having bars will be like the midrange game in the NBA. Nobody will care if you are just a generic ass rapper with bars. But if you are a superstar rapper with bars, people will be like "yo that's next".

On the flipside, being sing songy, will be like being a generic ass 3 and D player, able to shoot 40 percent from three. Everybody wants that.

And Kid Laori is some super charged industry plant. They got that boy all the way from Australia lmao. That's Lil Bibby's JuiceWrld replacement.

Like I said, man, these new guys figure that they can do it all. They know Hip Hop is nothing but youth culture and all the other popular genres ain't cool or lucrative anymore. So, instead of becoming a punk singer, or a pop singer, or an RnB singer, they become rappers that do punk music, rappers that do pop music or rappers that do RnB music.
