I am about to really see if this place has grown but as a big Hip Hop fan who is always checking for the newest talent coming out and who is winning, I gotta say woman rappers are better than male rappers from a new artist perspective.

From creativity, flow, hunger and just bars whenever I see newer artists (outside of Coi Leray) the new era hip hop I can't vibe too. The singing, over use of auto tune, over use of piano/guitar sad songs it's just not my wave and probably will never be.

HOWEVER, these women bro been snapping, even if I can't relate to the subject matter as a man, its time to give credit because these motherfuckers are DEFINITELY more hungrier than most new dudes now.

Unfortunately, my favorite new rapper was King Von and he gone.

Shit, I don't even keep up with mixtapes no more and I was a mixtape fiend, I just got addicted to Roddy Rich's The Box and was mad as hell that none of his album sounded like that.

Even dudes like Polo G is new for me.

I heard the other newish dudes like Ian Dior and 24KGoldn and wanted to purge my ears.

Haha I was the same way when I first heard the box by Roddy I knew that shit was going to be a hit and was expecting the rest of his album to hit like that as well smh I was wrong but folks love these new niggas man. I just want non singing, or them tired piano beat shits, and no auto tune. My standards are pretty low at this point lmao.

Then even the mostly video is some kiddy shit.

I expected something grimey as fuck.

Roddy Rich on his hood, grimey shit, makes child soldier songs. You play that shit, you can assemble a squad of 14 year old killers.

Like if someone told me to go rob a motherfucker and shoot his crib up, I'm playing that shit before I do it.

You get high, fall asleep to The Box, you wake up with a draco strapped to a your chest, a ski mask on, blood on the floor, and a bookbag full of bricks and money.

Just going off these songs, I agree with this sentiment.

Che seems straight up dope. 7xvethgenius seems to have potential. The others have good qualities and are probably talented in their own rights, but I couldn't see myself listening to their music.

The way I see it, rapping can be singing somewhat in a melodic way.

If James Brown is considered the Godfather of Hip Hop because of how he sang over a beat, if Bone Thugs and Harmony, Nelly, Ja Rule and 50 Cent can sing their hooks and be a considered rappers, I say let the new dudes be sing songy.

The truth is, being sing songy makes more money and you can do more musically. These new rappers, all their favorites could carry a little tune.

I see Hip Hop going the way of Reggaeton, where "rappers" make nothing but sing songy songs.

I blame RnB and Rock becoming "old folks music" for the reason rappers are now yodeling on the track.
