Welcome To aBlackWeb

After a person serves their jail/prison time, is the debt to society truly paid?

This world ain’t giving u shit. U don’t owe the world nothing. A nigga do 10 years and comes home I didn’t gain a damn thing from it. He might become productive or he might stick with crime. It’s on him.

I will absolutely look down on a rapist or child molester. I will look down on thieves. I will be friends with a killer depending on how it went down.
niggas can be falsely convicted of rape. but make the rest make sense.

Man U changing the game saying falsely convicted.
no im not.

that stigma stays with people whether you get off or not.
to most people they aint trynna hear falsely shit when it comes to certain shit.

and thats why i always look at black men who go at other black men without knowing all the facts but yet would want people to give them the benefit of the doubt if they was in the same position.

A debt to society means u did something wrong. I think everyone who answered the question is assuming guilt. If it is someone we feel is not guilty that is different.

A nigga do a bid for raping some white chick because her daddy found out she fucked a black dude is way different than a nigga who bashed a chick in the head and dragged her in an alley. That first dude gets my sympath. The second dude is the lowest form of scum.

but who really wants to know if someone is guilty?
and would anyone really believe the i was framed line?
and like you said.......people assume you are guilty since ...i mean you are coming from jail.

No man I’m talking about for thread purposes. In real life we argue all the time in the court of public opinion. U never been on the block talking about cases?

of course i have......

thing is ......when these type convos come up ...most people have a hard stance until you go a bit deeper then they dont want to play anymore.

but when shit happens to people personally...they wonder why people dont dig deeper to see who they truly are vs just the surface shit.

some niggas are just bad hombres and some people turned bad after circumstances and everyone turning on them.

Again bruh I think ur adding stuff that was inferred by the original question. I think in most cases there are options. It’s rare u gotta kill someone but I and others might be open to an explanation. Nigga ran in ur house. Hurt ur family or some shit.

It’s never a reason to rape someone. I don’t care if ur a 50 year old virgin. There is no explanation for that shit. So that’s a hardline for me. hardlines take effect after i come to the conclusion of guilt. Not before and not cuz the state or feds said so.

i understand your post post and agree....

but think of it this way......you say i added things and thats fair....but how far did anyone question it?

Wording is important. U didn’t ask if we think a person is automatically guilty if they were locked up. U asked about paying a debt. If I say I was incarcerated and paid my debt it’s safe to assume I’m guilty. If I say I was wrongly incarcerated that’s a different story.

and thats the point. does it matter? you just got home....does it really matter how you got to where you were? you even said you would assume they were guilty because they just got out.

i get exactly where you are coming from. seemed like i added shit as i went along...
but think about people who live this type of life. how do you think they see things?
aint no one asking the right questions.....they assume from the jump even with know how often the US system can unfair convict people and coerce statements.

Here's the problem with your line of thinking and I already pointed this out, but I'll do it again:

Two people meet at a party, club, or what have you. They vibe and alladat, but they're both drinking. A couple of hours later and they're fucking in the back seat of a car. They both wanted to do this and it was agreed upon that this was going to happen. They finish, exchange numbers and social media names, etc and go back in to the function.

The next morning she regrets the encounter and goes to the police and says she was raped while she was drunk. Dude is railroaded into a plea deal, serves prison time, and has to register as a sex offender for the next 10 years.

We all know he didn't really rape the chick, but he has a rape conviction, and this is the kind of shit that's becoming more prevalent these days so while you may want to dismiss all people convicted of rape, it's probably not wise to do so.

That’s not rape. As I explained my hardline takes effect after I gather my info and decide if I feel the person is guilty or not. That dude did not pay a debt to society. He was wrongly convicted. The idea of paying ur debt to society is the belief that u are guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and therefore u owe. That is the basis for my responses. This other stuff y’all talking about is a different topic. There is no explanation for rape.

Again I am talking about the original post. Are we not to presume the person is guilty? If they are not guilty what debt do they owe?

paying debt to society is the wording that gets people stuck. that should not stop you from still gathering info.

guilty or innocent doesnt matter to people as much as they think it does.

but as for the OP yes i asked the question....and you made your point.
and thats why i asked the other shit because if guilty you hardly have a chance getting a second and falsely convicted you wont have a second chance because no one will care.

so if you are a hiring manager...you really want to hear someones story? really want them to say they are innocent? really want them to tell you how they family was hungry so they sold drugs?

im going somewhere with this.

Bruh I am a hiring manager and in my state we are not allowed to ask until the very end. So if they make it that far and they are 1 of 2 people I’m considering then yes I absolutely want to hear their story.

Check ur state laws. Some can’t even check before u make this point that had nothing to do with ur original post
