AEW Thread: Dynamite- 11/6

Guess it’s fair to say WWE will catch feelings and do petty crap for Jerichos words and that Jericho will finish his career in AEW.

AEW had back to back good showings, my only gripe is their women's division really need a star cause the dentist chick isn't the answer

And their match was somewhat clunky. I do like Rhio as champ for now

I wanna smack that Sammy dude for that tongue crap... damn that’s annoying.

Ortiz, too.. stupid..

Can’t wait... “AEW is so predictable!”

Can’t lie, I thought the Bucks were gonna sweep through the tournament. I’m happy to see that’s not the case. Their reign will be a long one once they do get the titles but it’s good they’re ‘passing the buck’ for another team to be the first AEW tag team.

The same with Christopher Daniels and Kazarian, let a young team shine

AEW Women’s Champion Riho will make her first title defense on next Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite episode from Philadelphia, PA.

Riho’s opponent will be Britt Baker. The match was made after Baker and Riho teamed on this week’s Dynamite episode to defeat Bea Priestley and Emi Sakura.

Below is the updated line-up for next Wednesday’s Dynamite episode from the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia:

* Darby Allin vs. AEW World Champion Chris Jericho with the title on the line

* Britt Baker vs. AEW Women’s Champion Riho with the title on the line

* AEW World Tag Team Titles Tournament First Round Match: SoCal Uncensored vs. Best Friends

* AEW World Tag Team Titles Tournament First Round Match: Lucha Bros vs. Jurassic Express

Going up against the end of Major League Baseball's NLDS, AEW Dynamite dropped 28 percent in total viewers and 32 percent in the 18-49 demo last night, averaging 1,018,000 viewers on TNT and a 0.46 rating in that key demo.

Last night's truTV simulcast of Dynamite drew 122,000 viewers, so live/same-night DVR viewership was a smaller drop-off overall.

NXT was down a similar 32 percent in the 18-49 demo but down just 11 percent overall, coming in with 790,000 viewers.

AEW beat NXT in every demo except for people over 50, where NXT had a 0.50 rating as opposed to AEW's 0.40.

AEW finished eighth for the night in the 18-49 demo, while NXT dropped all the way to 27th. AEW did not rank in the top 25 on cable in terms of total viewers.

The strongest demo for AEW was males 18-49, where they scored a 0.66 rating, fifth for the night on cable.

These are the market numbers that we have for last night's Dynamite and the show's replay:

  • Chicago 0.9 -- down 10 percent live, even for the replay (0.6)
  • Dallas 0.5 -- down 44 percent live, even for the replay (0.1)
  • DC 0.4 -- down 43 percent live, down 50 percent for the replay (0.1)
  • Houston 0.9 -- Even from last week, down 25 percent for the replay (0.3)
  • Atlanta 0.9 -- down 10 percent live, up 100 percent for the replay (0.4)
  • Detroit 1.1 -- down 21 percent live, down 63 percent for the replay (0.3)
  • Minneapolis 0.7 -- down 13 percent live, up 100 percent for the replay (0.4)
  • Charlotte 2.4 -- up 20 percent live, down 13 percent for the replay (0.7)
A positive is that most markets grew from the start of the show overall, with many peaking in the final segment. Last week started at a peak and fell. The second quarter with the end of the Young Bucks match and the Inner Circle/Jericho interview peaked in a number of markets as well.

Minneapolis wasn't strong, but tripled its viewership from the first quarter to the last quarter.

Charlotte peaked with a 2.8 quarter from 9-9:15 p.m.

Street fight stipulation added to Jericho vs. Allin AEW title match

A stipulation has been added to the AEW World Championship match on next week's episode of Dynamite.

AEW posted video of a promo from Jericho today, with it setting up that Jericho vs. Darby Allin will now be a Philadelphia street fight. The title match is taking place at The Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Wednesday (October 16).

Allin was set up as Jericho's first challenger by defeating Jimmy Havoc in a number one contender's match on this week's Dynamite. Jericho & Sammy Guevara defeated Hangman Page & Dustin Rhodes in the main event of the show. During a post-match brawl, Allin came out on a skateboard and attacked Jericho.

Jericho became the inaugural AEW World Champion by defeating Page at All Out. Jericho is scheduled to defend the title against Cody Rhodes at AEW's Full Gear pay-per-view on November 9.

On this week's Dynamite, it was revealed that the name of Jericho's stable with Guevara, Santana, Ortiz, and Jake Hager is "The Inner Circle."

Omega & Page facing Moxley & PAC on AEW Dynamite

Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley will be facing off in tag team action on next week's episode of Dynamite

AEW announced today that Omega & Hangman Page will team against Moxley & PAC on Wednesday (October 16). This will be the first time Omega and Moxley have wrestled each other. They were supposed to have a match at All Out, but Moxley had to pull out of the show due to a case of MRSA returning in his elbow.

PAC instead took on Omega and defeated him at All Out.

On the Dynamite premiere, Moxley made an appearance and attacked Omega while Omega was teaming with The Young Bucks against Chris Jericho, Santana & Ortiz. Moxley took Omega out of the match by giving him a Paradigm Shift DDT through a glass coffee table.

With PAC on commentary, Moxley defeated Shawn Spears on this Wednesday's Dynamite. Omega came out with a barbed wire broom and a barbed wire bat for the post-match angle. He gave the bat to Moxley and wanted to face off with him, but PAC then attacked Omega with a steel chair. Moxley refused to capitalize on PAC's attack.

Omega vs. Moxley is set for AEW's Full Gear pay-per-view on November 9.

PAC defeated Page on the Dynamite premiere. Page & Dustin Rhodes then lost to Jericho & Sammy Guevara this Wednesday.

Next week's Dynamite is taking place at The Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Here's the updated card for the show:

  • AEW World Champion Chris Jericho defending against Darby Allin in a Philadelphia street fight
  • AEW Women's Champion Riho defending against Britt Baker
  • Kenny Omega & Hangman Page vs. Jon Moxley & PAC
  • The Lucha Bros (Pentagon Jr. & Fenix) vs. Jurassic Express (Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy) in an AEW Tag Team title tournament first-round match
  • Best Friends (Trent Barreta & Chuck Taylor) vs. SoCal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian) in an AEW Tag Team title tournament first-round match

Catching the replay on stream.
Private Party vs the Young Bucks might be the best Tag Team match I’ve seen on TV in 10 years.

that blond haired muhfucka came in the ring GETTIN IT. Flying over everything.

Why does Jericho look like Triple H now, tho?
