First of all this shouldn’t be close AT ALL! Mariah changed the game when she put ODB on Fantasy Remix. She's been trying to use Hip Hop influenced records since she came in the game But Tommy Mottolla stopped that.
After her DayDream album (which sold 25 Million Copies WW) and her separation from Tommy. MC started doing more hip hop collabs other Butterfly album she sampled lot of Hip Hop records and included artists like The Lox,Mase,Mobb Deep and Bone Thugs on that album. She let Diddy, QTip and Steevie produce some of her records on that album.
She gave JAY-Z his 1st Number record in 1999 with heartbreaker.
Im not about to go on with how many hip hop collabs MC has had and done. Her hip hop resume speaks for itself and the records are more Iconic than beyonces and mariah made bigger hits ..
