as the title says..

one of the best rappers, at his best doing what he does best
and the nigga told a legit story

  • Exposition: Setting the scene. Big laying his game down to a chick...she invites him to the crib
  • Rising action: Building the tension. the crib fresh as shit, he describes how fly everything is and how dope the sex is...all while the man suppsoed to be playing the utah jazz when her man come home
  • Climax: The exciting bit. ig had a spur of the moment thought for a heist and pretended to kidnap the chick
  • Falling action: Tidying up loose ends. the heist goes off to perfection he gets money bags, keys to the car, and gets low
  • Resolution: Ending the story. he jokes with his friends a recap...

perfection

Lou gotta nice hip hop pedigree, but this is too easy.....

based on a true story....

first rap song they ever showed us in school. we watched the video in health class and had a class discussion about it....

this shit was a legit impact on an entire generation....an entire culture.....

we people say Tupac is the voice of the Ghetto ....this is a reference.

This was a song that told a story as relevant as any donald goines novel depicting the harsh realities of the streets. The video was just like a movie, it's even been known to make people cry.

This is a song that touched everybody...cuz even if you didn't know a Brenda personally, Pac told a story that allowed you to know her through his words.

They play this song at ivy league schools in order to graduate.

Murs starts the song talking about how foolish gun violence is. Then the beat changes. Right away you can tell, this is gonna be sad. You ask yourself "Who hurt 9th wonder for him to create this sound?" Murs goes on to tell us the story of him and his best friend on a typical weekend night adventure that ends in tragedy.

One year later (2 seconds in music years) we get our 3rd and final beat. Our hero, Murs, still in mourning from the death of his best friend is at the grave with his friends mother and loved ones. After paying their respects, Murs goes on with his day, only to cross paths with the murderer once again!! Murs describes the many emotions he feels after seeing the guy. He wants vengeance. He needs to do this for his friend. He continues describing his plan for revenge.

This isnt the life Murs chose, but he's from Los Angeles, California. The life chose him. After making moves Murs finally gets his moment and succeeds, but in the end, was it worth it?
