Mercedes car isn't that good with the new regulations. Still better than 2/3rds of the grid but not enough to win a race straight up. Looks like some improvements have been made. Hamilton used Russell car setup for this weekend, his original setup had no pace. The First race after summer break will tell the truth if Mercedes is improving or other teams are starting to have issues.

Hamilton needed that podium because being out qualified and outraced by Russell everytime is not a good look. Let's see if he can get that ol thing back
