ABW Fundraiser: Books For Kids Donation - GOAL WAS MET!!!

I told my coworker about this. She was super excited. The children will be making thank you cards for you wonderful people tomorrow.

Ohmars created the thread

I edited his op to remove her cashapp Info and added the goal was met

Ohmars then asked for the title to include the goal had been met, which I also did

The only thing Kandy did in this thread was express her gratitude to everyone that contributed

I was impressed too. I asked on FB and apparently nobody out of my hundreds of “friends” reacted to my post but my mom. They reacted to me saying I reached my goal tho. Quickly. I wasn’t even looking for donations from several individuals or to set up a fundraiser, more so a company that was willing to sponsor it. I’ll just assume nobody knew anybody who could help but you guys got together and did this, in less than an hour.

Which in conclusion really makes me appreciate you guys. I’ve known some of you at the most a year and a half and y’all did this. People I’ve known much longer, my fb friends, didn’t even budge. It be your own niggas. This is why ABW has replaced FB for me. If i didn’t connect with family on there, I’d definitely delete it.
 
Alright so I have literally been searching for hours on what to spend the $68 on. That’s how much is left over. When I get to work tomorrow I’ll see what else I can purchase that can benefit them. I will post here and let you know.

I know we do have an incentive program about to start. It could go towards that.
 
Buy them a class pet.

I suggest a turtle. It will teach them to be responsible and pets have been shown to reduce stress levels. At my school, they bring golden retrievers to the library so kids can play with a doge and relax
 
Dammit I been on the road the past couple days to FL and missed this. Good shit tho and we need to assemble to support our kids and each other more often.

I beleive as an online community, we got power to make shit happen with this being exhibit A.

@Kandycita anything else you need for class? Supplies etc?

I’ve thought about using it to buy a class pet for the special education students. It’s about 7 of them in their class. My students will be having butterflies and frogs and fish this year.

I’m sure they will need supplies. Supplies are a struggle every year.
