SZA deserves some trophies. That along with Nas possibly getting another Rap Album Grammy are all I give a shit about.
 
People still put weight behind these ceremonies?
The Grammys does this really weird thing where they go half-arse on appealing to the masses and half-arse on appealing to those into the critically acclaimed stuff (e.g. Pitchfork type audience) an an attempt at appealing to everyone while trying to hold some credibility, but instead gets it all completely wrong, appeasing no one and has its credibility and relevance endlessly questioned. Every year's nominations list is awful, they get accused of being out of touch and whoever wins always draws criticism as not actually being the best of whatever category its in

End of the day it's just a popularity and marketing ceremony designed to sell music - anyone who genuinely claims to enjoy music wouldn't take it seriously or give it the light of day which is why I'm surprised each year with how much people on here get invested (and then disappointed) in it
