Netflix 28 Years Later ☣

Eh, just felt tonally far off from the original. Then again I haven’t seen the first one in forever, so maybe I’m just misremembering.

This one wasn’t particularly good or bad; just something to watch

I rewatched the first and second one a couple of weeks ago. I thought the tone was fairly close. Definitely closer than the second one, which makes sense since Cillian Murphy was involved. Other than the ending of course.

This time it was more so focused on the alpha as opposed to the swarms. And instead of basic survival it actually had a plot underlying the zombie shit.

You’re probably right and I’m just guilty of nostalgia over the first one. I need to rewatch it.

The Swedish soldier was a highlight. Dude was funny.
 
I really really wanted to like this more than I did. The trailer did a far better job of showing there's a fantastic movie in there. First half was super dope but that second falls off a cliff. Ending...will entirely depend on how well the Bone Temple movie is.
