2026 NBA Offseason Thread

I wish the Nets would've made a little bit better use of their cap space and flexibility but to possibly leave this summer knowing you have two legit young building blocks is huge for them
Nah I think they did the right thing. None of the big names on the market this summer were needle movers or interested in being in Brooklyn. There was no need to take an unnecessary swing. The opportunity they're looking for hasn't presented itself imo.

Not throwing an offer sheet to Peyton Watson was a mistake imo

Not going to happen lol

Funny thing is when Trae gets traded he is going to be looked at like how Beal was looked at when he went to the suns

That’s a lot of money to pay for a guy like that

This is the thing I was worried about and while it maybe something they could get away with this season eventually down the road Trae is probably gonna get traded.

I do think Trae can play his way into a spot where he won’t be looked at like Beal was when we dealt him. Thats wishful thinking tho.

Say what you want about ja. But his shoes are keeping nike alive. Thats the only thing selling off over there besides shiestys and tech fleece.

The Nike’s that stole their template from the kyrie’s?

But yeah you’re right which makes the Portland thing make even more sense

But what are you saying this to say? Fuck Ja

Trevor Keels probably played himself into another two way if he isn’t given a standard deal

It’s funny because I definitely shitted on him during his draft process

But he’s been great in our system

Yeah. Wouldn't be surprised if they're working with that cheap ass owner under the table. Just insulate him in Portland for a few years, keep him out of trouble and his dad out them courtside seats and rehab his career.

No hate but I don’t think Ja can get rid of the stigma attached to his career

Normally I wouldn’t say that because what happened with him between multiple incidents over the years wasn’t bad enough to do that but for some reason I just have a feeling

Maybe it’s because I don’t think he can play so well that it makes people forget

Like he would have to cut his hair and then just be phenomenal for a few years and I don’t see that happening
