The good thing is they are both good to great shooters so they can make it work.

Edwards imo can play well without the ball. All he needs is to get the ball and 5 seconds to make something happen if the offense is stalling.

I think the skillsets mesh well.

Its all about them wanting to make it work imo

It's possible. They both like to play hero ball though. Two players like that on the same team can be problematic depending on the players involved.

The more and more I think about Washington the more concerned I am versus being positively intrigued

Me and @Freeman kind of were talking about this yesterday

On paper the names and talent are there for this to be an exciting team

But Trae Young has to be in a spread pick and roll system to be at his best and maximize what he does well

So if you are starting

Trae
Kyshawn George
AJ Dybantsa
Davis
Sarr

I really dont know how this works with no shooting and what people are going to be doing if Trae has the ball all the time....and if he doesnt have the ball all the time why did you just give him that contract?

Also if you're trying to be a serious basketball team why are you keeping Brian Keefe?

Like I said on paper the team is talented and looks interesting but Im very skeptical about how this all come together and works....I have to see it first and not giving them the benefit of the doubt and just assuming this going to be a good team
We'll have to see if Davis buys in or what they receive for him in a trade. Also I don't think they have to be married to starting george he skews more 3-4 than 3-2. Tre Johnson is right there.

But like I said they're still a few years away regardless. A 9th seed next year at best.

Isn't he kinda ball dominant though? You don't think him and Ant will clash? I don't mean personalitywise but moreso about what they need to be effective.

Serious question, when has this ever been a problem for a team?

If Harden can do it with Chris Paul and Donovan Mitchell I promise Lamelo and Edwards will be fine

Off the top of my head, MIA in 2011. Both Wade and Lebron have mentioned that defining roles played a part in them losing that year. Wade himself said he basically had to dial himself back as a player for them to coexist. Not every superstar can or will do that.

CP is more of a pure PG though. He ain't always looking to score.

It might not a problem for Lamelo and Ant. We'll see I guess.

Ok, start Tra Johnson who is my guy...he shot 35% last year and you still have Trae, AD, Sarr and Dybantsa on the court

Im just saying people keep talking about Trae is going somewhere where he is surrounded by shooting and thats not true lol
