Did Brunson jump forward a bit? Yes. But so the fuck what? Players are trained to jump forward a bit when shooting, especially when shooting on the move off the dribble. Its literally a mechanic taught to kids. So ofcourse he jumped forward.
He didn't leg kick and catch Wembys knee or some shit like the Reggie miller leg kick or anything. His front leg just landed a bit in front of him.
But even none of that matters. The video is there. Wemby stops. And then his one foot starts creeping forward. Where Wemby stopped originally, Brunson had enough room to land.
The defender is taught to jump straight up.
The offensive player has the forward motion.
No reason for Wemby to be leaning forward.
Especially when you see him looking down as he's moving his foot.
