The reasoning behind everyone’s sourness toward him isn’t wrong at all. I just think he’s earned a bit of grace. This is almost assuredly his final season, and he deserves to be properly celebrated by every basketball fan on his way out, so long as he properly declares it as such before the season begins.
People forget that Jordan pump-faked retirement and pretty much held Chicago hostage throughout the entire ’90s. Because it ended with two three-peats, people have romanticized the fact that the yellow-eyed bastard retired and came back twice.
