2026: Back to the randomness

You only doing this cause Freeman glazing you

I find the thread title change hella corny.

Just want mans to step their game up.

Shit like this is another example of some of you niggas repeatedly missing the point and being on some funny shit.

I didn't know that Mods had access to changing the feature/ header either.

I have opinions but unlike some I'm not gonna stir the pot right now...

You can think the thread title is corny but no one is missing the point

And your "step your game up" motivation is condescending

I been asked for one. Theres no secret about it. This is not about that tho.

This whole thing stemmed from you pointing out something missing from the site and not even acknowledging you had the means to help, you doubling down on not wanting to bother and feeling stupid when Goldie himself confirmed what is pretty easy for any longtime site user to see.

Instead of huddling up in your mod room or messaging Goldie direct you're in here trying to squabble about it. Other nigga doing his passive aggressive sarcastic riff.

I just want the site I spend my days and nights on to thrive. Feels like the people that fought for the title are doing the bare minimum to help @Goldie out right now.

If im wrong or out of pocket pointing that out then my bad.

Bruh you gotta do some internal reflection. You gotta know you would be the wackest mod in history. You're mad moody but also passive as fuck when confronted directly.

You would have one tool in your toolbox and that would be the ban. It would be you posting in this shit by yourself like... "ahhh... finally some peace"

Just jokes Pooh...

The only solution is for mods to step back and let the niggas who think they can do better step up and do better.

I figured this out the end of 2924 when chitown and beta came on and I stepped out.

I was hoping for better days. Everything I did to try to promote the site I could still do as a non mod.. But as a mod all I was really doing was monitoring threads and dealing with member complaints.

If there's more tech savvy, or socially driven people who can grow the site, I'm all for it.... So I mean... If you think you can grow the site... put your name in the hat and have at it 🤷🏿‍♂️

@RandomOne

you seem like someone that could answer this based on the little I know about what you do, but this is really for anyone.

How do you handle productivity in your personal life? Specifically, emails. At one point, one email seemed to suit my needs, but now i'm at the point where I have too many unread emails at the end of the day and most of them I dont need per se? I just kinda want to be aware they are there, but i dont need them clogging up my main one that is usually tied to like my bills and shit.

Any pointers?
My bad I just got back home from the festival

My main email is an old one so I get A LOT of spam. Anything important I add it to the vip category (IOS important emails). Every day I'm blocking and deleting emails. There's a feature that I can block everything and just allow what I want but I think the setup would be annoying because I'd need to go through all the important emails to make sure they make the list

I think you have android though but it wouldn't surprise me if you have a similar feature

I do but it seems like more and more things require an email address I actually monitor. It's not like just having an email to just sign up to access something.

I think what I'll end up doing is just unsubscribing from a bunch of shit over the summer when I have some down time which should give me some time to see just how I want to map some shit out.

Just be careful clicking on any links in the email

I asked ChatGPT to summarize this page.........and here's what it came up with:

Thread Discussion: Site Changes & Moderator Tension

  • Multiple users criticized the recent thread title/header changes, calling them “corny” or unnecessary.
  • Some users argued the criticism was missing the broader issue: improving the site overall.
  • Debate escalated into personal criticism of moderators and users:
    • Accusations of passive-aggressive behavior.
    • Complaints that moderators are doing the “bare minimum.”
    • Suggestions that mods should let more capable or motivated users contribute.
  • One former moderator explained that moderation mostly involved handling complaints rather than helping grow the site.
  • Several users expressed nostalgia for old site features:
    • Headers with pictures/GIFs.
    • AI cartoon headers that added personality to the forum.

Personal Criticism & Jokes

  • One user told another they would be a bad moderator because they are “moody” and overly reliant on banning users.
  • Another user jokingly compared someone to Sister Sage, saying they want “peace and quiet.”
  • Some comments attempted to soften criticism by framing it as jokes.

Productivity & Email Management Discussion

A user asked for advice on managing overflowing personal email inboxes.

Suggestions Shared

  • Use VIP/important inbox features on iOS to separate critical emails.
  • Regularly:
    • Delete spam.
    • Block unwanted senders.
  • Consider stricter filtering/allow-list systems, though setup may be tedious.
  • Unsubscribe from unnecessary mailing lists over time.
  • Be cautious clicking links in emails, especially spam or suspicious messages.

Overall Tone

  • Heated but conversational.
  • Mixture of:
    • Forum/site governance debate.
    • Personal callouts and sarcasm.
    • Casual productivity advice.

I liked the thread title changes. They were funny and explained the topic changes in the thread. Are the new mods too shy/scared to ask what they can do as mods?

Dude is basically Sister Sage. He wants to end the world so he can have some peace and quiet.

I also asked CharGPT if there was any merit to your criticism of @Freeman

Yes, there’s some understandable merit to the criticism, though it’s wrapped in a very confrontational and personal delivery.

What SneakDZA Seems to Be Arguing

The core complaint is:

  • Freeman publicly pointed out shortcomings with the site/community.
  • But Freeman allegedly had moderator tools/access that could have helped address those issues.
  • Instead of helping directly or coordinating privately with admins/mods, he stayed in the thread arguing and criticizing.
  • SneakDZA sees that as:
    • performative,
    • unproductive,
    • and unfair to people already doing maintenance work.
That criticism is not inherently unreasonable. In many communities, people get frustrated when someone:

  • has influence or capability,
  • publicly critiques problems,
  • but appears reluctant to contribute solutions.
The “if you care about the site, help improve it” angle is a legitimate perspective.

Where the Criticism Weakens

The argument becomes less persuasive when it shifts from:

  • discussing behavior,
    to:
  • attacking personality.
Examples:

  • calling Freeman passive-aggressive,
  • predicting he’d be a terrible mod,
  • implying he only wants power/control,
  • psychoanalyzing him.
Those parts are more emotional than substantive and make the exchange feel personal rather than constructive.

Freeman’s Position Also Has Logic

Freeman’s side appears to be:

  • criticizing a decision (thread title/header changes),
  • not necessarily volunteering to become responsible for site maintenance,
  • and resisting the idea that criticism requires direct participation.
That’s also a fair stance. Communities often benefit from users pointing out problems even if they are not staff or organizers.

There’s also an implied disagreement about:

  • what moderators are for.
    • SneakDZA seems to view mods/community veterans as custodians responsible for improving the site experience.
    • Freeman may view moderatorship more narrowly.

Underlying Dynamic

A lot of the tension seems less about the header itself and more about:

  • burnout,
  • expectations of moderators,
  • who is responsible for keeping the community lively,
  • and frustration over perceived stagnation.
The header/title issue became a proxy fight for those bigger frustrations.
