This not me even being an asshole or anything but sometimes, you gotta protect women from themselves.

I'm not saying people are no longer practicing the tradition of passing down diamonds but times are just different and when you do the knowledge about the mining of diamonds and the history behind the marketing of them, it feels dumb spending that kinda money on them when there are so many better options including lab diamonds where you can get way more bang for the buck.

There are women who have been pretty much brainwashed into thinking that anything less than a diamond means cheap and that's just not true. I personally think the actions of being married trump the symbolisms of the rings but that's a different conversation.

The day I rebooted and I saw Cortana, my very first google search was "how do I uninstall cortana". Got rid of that shit quick as hell. However, M$ also slipped that shit into Teams, so any time I was in Teams (every day) I'd get a pop-up talmbout "give your new AI assistant a try".

I had set up rules in my old Sonicwall firewall to block all of that shit. Shit got knocked out over the summer when the power went out during a storm (the same storm I complained about in the PC Master Race thread that knocked out one of my monitors). Now alladat bullshit is coming through. I got ads and weather and shit on my lock screen and dumb shit like that. Bought another Sonicwall but I haven't gotten around to configuring it yet (just being lazy).

I used to do that shit when I was in Phoenix; not to see if there was anyone I knew from school, but folks I worked with. Sheriff Joe used to post mugshots of anybody arrested on the MCSO website, regardless of whether or not you've even been charged. I only ever saw one person I knew on it: An Asian chick that was working on the same project I was on got knocked for DUI one weekend. Since we were cool, she told me about it but no one else. She ended up having to spend a month at Tent City, with work release daily so she could keep her job.
