2026/2027 College Basketball/Prospects Thread

I’ve seen Cooper Flagg in AT&T commercials and New Balance commercials.

Still think he’s going to the NBA?

I mean, really what’s the incentive? Be 18 on a college campus where you’re the most popular person in the city or go to the league and be a role player for 3 years before he’s the go to option?

If it was up to me, I’m milking that college life as long as I can.

He would make more money as the number 1 pick and have more free time to work on his game. He also wouldn’t be a role player on any team picking in the top 5 outside of maybe Philly. Imagine being the next great white hope and getting drafted by the Jazz lol. He should 100 percent go pro

He’s not going to come in and make the same type of impact as say Wemby. It will take him a year or two or more to be considered the face of a franchise, if he ever is. He’s more famous as a Duke player than he will be his first few years on an NBA team.

I think he makes more in endorsements and has more fun in college. Once he goes pro his star will fade some until he’s proven himself.

So the grind of the NBA or the fun and fame of college for a little less money? I’m taking at least one more year of college cause you can never go back.

Dude, the second he gets drafted, he will be the face of that franchise and the best player on the team (except the Spurs, lol). He is that good.

Oh I see. You on some van wilder shit lol. Na it’s time for buddy to go pro lol. The top NIL guys are making half of what the first pick in the draft is getting and endorsements won’t be an issue. I don’t see it

I know he’s good, but NBA talent is another level. He’ll be fine, but I don’t think he comes in dominating like he’s doing in college. That’s just me though, I could be wrong.

Plus there’s more to this kind of decision than just money.

I guess we’ll see.

Yes I am, lol. That college life is something else and not to be discounted. Especially for an 18 year old who will basically run shit at the highest levels.

Do y’all really think Flagg is going to come into the league and dominate and be the franchise leader? I don’t know, he’s nice, but I don’t see him leading a team out the gate.

There’s no white American in this draft I would select personally outside of Flagg

Mcneely
Knueppel
Wolf

Etc

I’m cool
