This is true but you still don't wanna waste first round draft capital on projects.

Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, Eli Manning, Russell Wilson, Carson Wentz, and Patrick Mahomes

are Qb's that have won on rookie deals. Some HOF coaches leading HOF qb's on this list. Out of all the benched players from the OP it's safe to say some meh coaching was involved.

QB's and Coaching are subpar rn in the league.

I wasn't saying it's an either or though. I was adding on that rookie contracts are a lot easier to handle nowadays. It's easier to chance on a QB in the first round than give a big contract to someone. So you can hit duds a lot in hope of finding that diamond QB
