If Sanders being the QB wouldn't matter, that's all the more reason to draft him if you think he's good. Means you'd have your franchise QB and a top pick. Instead you just have a top pick you'll spend looking for a franchise QB.

Teams always using their 1st round pick on a QB instead of building the foundation tend to fail

I don’t think they thought he was good lol. Sanders could have been the back up in Baltimore in the best position to show us that he’s good but he fucked that away.

Regardless the Saints did not see their franchise QB in this past draft.
