I wasn’t exactly comparing their games I was just saying he might wind up closer to Santi than Myles Turner as far as tiers

But that’s like worst case scenario

I just happen to be using stretch bigs to get my point across

Idk about that

Myles Turner provides a strecth 5 element and rim protection

Bari may never provides that level of rim protection but I think he has much more versatility defensively than Myles.....Bari can switch and defend on the perimeter..
Myles isnt really doing that

He unlocks a lot for us defensively and is a huge part of why we're successful on that end...I dont think he gets his due credit for that

He just needs to be more confident and decisive offensively and the coaching staff needs to design more plays to get him easy looks......I need him taking and making that free throwline jumper

Yeah I agree as far as defensive versatility I just used Turner as an example because he’s like Jabari at this ceiling and that was just from me simplifying the shooting and rim protection (as Jabari can probably average a block a game)

Will never do what Turner does as far as that but again just saying names more than anything

Wait until you see Bari after a year of KD tutelage

Holy shit i forgot his old ass is still kicking

Back in the late Sonic/early OKC days I liked Jeff green more than KD/Westrbook

Tari could never

The last remaining remnants of the Supersonics play for Houston

Just sit back and get ready to enjoy Tari crashing out every other game

Fuck Tari

He’s not better than Jabari

Also it’s time for me to realize that Jabari is a Keegan Murray level role player as the 3rd pick

He might be lakers era Kyle Kuzma

He has a chance to be better once KD leaves if he is still on the team though

Guess we’ll see

🤣

Now like I was saying @southsil4lil if you guys don’t realize who the better of the two is when they are both playing, gone ahead and get Stone on the phone and make they trade to your western Texas neighbor. 😂

On the real, I’m not saying Smith Jr. is a bad player and I understand why you feel if he puts shit together theoretically he could be really good. Shit, I think he is a clean fit beside Sengun.

I just think if Tari was to stay (which is a massive issue) healthy he will turn out to be the better player. He is a versatile defender, just like Smith. Can handle the ball a little bit, can shoot some and most importantly doesn’t need someone to give him a boost of confidence. Yeah, he can be a little wild at times, but his aggressive nature so far has been a positive (unlike some) in the NBA. It’s crazy to me that Jabari still needs to be pushed. Wings that are versatile are super important in the NBA and this guy can even guard some bigger players

Thats fair and all excellent points that I agree with

Health really is the biggest question mark for Tari, he's played 50 something games last year and 27 the season before but noticeably good things constantly happen on both sides of the court when he does play

My thing with Jabari that I always say is that I was never that high on him to begin with going back to Auburn.......he was way too robotic with his movement and he had to process what he was going to do when he caught the ball. I knew he wasnt going to be someone who could handle the ball or really do anything off the dribble at the next level

So in terms of his confidence I would say a few things.....I think he was in a weird situation where there was already players higher than him in the pecking order so its not like he can just come and raddle off 3-4 shots in a row or anything to get in a rhythm, hes not a good ball handler or someone who can create easy looks for himself, we didnt have any structure and we didnt have a point guard.

Jabari can be a very effective offensive player imo however he needs to do it on catch and shoot opportunities and being able to punish mismatches which he hasn't done, the latter specifically.......The coaching staff really does need to do a better job of getting him involved but it's also on him to convert and finish those opportunities when he gets them. I really want to see him be able to take and make those midrange shots that are there for him

This his age 22 season, I think if its even close with Tari at this point than the safe bet is go with the youth but I totally get the argument for Tari....They're both two very valuable player archetypes so it is difficult and extremely close between the two of them

This the first time I ever seen uncle Dennis and he looks wayyy nicer than how I expected him to look lol

I pictured an old head who’s like 40 with braids in a hoodie
I thought of the nigga from Friday Night Lights who was Boobie Miles Uncle

Jazz been terrible and have no premium prospects on their team to show for it

What exactly excites you about what they're doing and where they're going?

They need lottery luck this season and next season

They have Markkanen, Kyle Filipowski, Keyonte George, Cody Williams, Sensabaugh and Ace Bailey, all of whom could be very good or already are.

Collier should be solid, Kessler too, and we still don't have a good idea how good Hendricks could be. That's already a solid young core, at least.

I know you don't like their roster. But I am convinced that you are underrating it.
