Sadly I don't think the front office will really make a deal for Murphy the 3rd. It is funny that @southsil4lil brought up a possible move getting him to the Spurs way before this...

I think the front office is very careful with how they move (which is understandable) when it comes to trades. I do think Murphy would fit really well on this roster, but they aren't gonna do a massive trade or a trade that isn't an easy slam dunk (barring injuries) in our favor

We know what Cam Thomas is. He’s a future Lou Will off the bench for a contender. There’s just too much you have to do to build around him. Claxton no longer fits the timeline and will likely be traded soon, Sharpe is a good backup center and that’s likely his ceiling. MPJ is just here for the time being he’s not the long term option. Whitehead might have a future in Puerto Rico but I hope I’m wrong. Jalen Wilson is solid but lacks the athleticism and he’s not that consistent as a shooter so I don’t know about his future on the team let alone the league. I fucks with Ziaire Williams but he’s just here for now. The other guys like Terrence Mann, are here to fill out the roster. The only players I know nothing about are the ones we just drafted. So maybe one of them could look like a potential star.

Well I can tell you now

Danny wolf and Ben Saraf aren’t really guys I would bet on being main guys in the future

Maybe Demin pans out (right now I doubt it)

Drake Powell is who I feel strongest about but his defense and athleticism is better than his offense right now

But he’s young

Now we looking at the 2027 draft

I trust Marks so maybe one of these guys develop into an all star level player.
