Detroit could have had him for free as a throw in, in the Schroder deal and turned it down.

All offseason scoring combo guards have been getting paid peanuts in FA, and here you have one who is undersized and doesnt play defense making 20 million a year. Its just not a player archetype that is valued right now, thus why Sacramento is so keen on moving him.

So taking that into account, giving up 2 rotation players for 1 and a shitty pick that wont convey for 6 years is not worth it.

I think Monk is good as a secondary ball handler and for teams that need rim pressure, he was elite last season at getting to the rim

Monk is worth 20 mil with like $22 mil being the peak

Just when you get to around $24-25 is when it gets ehh

If cam and herro switched places he'd do the same numbers. He averages 2 less assists and rebounds. Foh.

2 rebounds is huge when comparing SGs

One guy’s career averages is 15/2/2

The other’s is 19/5/4

thats not a marginal difference
