Mike Brown is a good coach.

I know it's jokes cause it's the Knicks, but I ain't mad it at all.

Rose and them have a certain philosophy of what will win games. Thibs started doing things that didn't align with that philosophy, so they got rid of him. Had nothing to do with if he was a good coach or how far the team went.

The fact they interviewed Mike Brown twice means they must have agreed on that philosophy.

Wether it works or not is to be seen. But I like the idea of a front office having a style of play in mind and then doing whatever they can to get the team to play in.

Approve? Cmon they want you put the organization > ya kids FOH
He has all the resources to move his family around comfortably and amicably. How much were they paying him 50+. Fix your personal shit on your own time.

I think if fails this year they might have to look at what the team looks like without him but it looks like they're reinforcing the roster behind him to give him a real shot at making the playoffs more than anything.
Okay so let me ask

Would you rather trade Lamelo now or run the risk of him getting hurt again or showing the league who still might be undecided that he’s not a winning player thus lowering his value?

You ain't gotta do all this. He's a coach that gets fired every 2 years. When he gone you won't miss him.

I think you have to give him a real shot before giving up cause you're not gonna get plus value back either way. Its all on lamelo now.

Lamelo is a good yute. Hornets need to get on their job and give him some real support or trade him. Simple as that. They've been wasting his talent away.

If there's not a market for him you can't force a trade...we all know that's the eventual outcome but it's in the best interest of both parties that he play well and show that he's healthy

Charlotte doesn't really losing anything from attempting to win games early in the season....they'll be lottery team whether they try or not

IIRC him and his wife was going through a divorce, could be a ongoing custody issue / spiteful BM. I know you stay living in your perfect fantasy world but could be something preventing that.

Thats like your job telling you can’t leave early to take care of some personal important shit. Fuck that job if you prioritizing job > your kids.

He’s out for the season not like his missing game because of personal issues. He can rehab elsewhere.

If im an organization trying to turn things around and establish a real culture with a new coach im not keeping the nasty remnants of the past era that’s like a virus

I don’t want my new rookies and vets in brought in to be infected

Like I said "amicably". He's out for a season with the worst injury he could possibly have. Naturally a team with doctors and trainers on payroll would want them tending to his injuries when they've made a 100+ million dollar investment. They're not tripping. Im sure they would have cleared him to take time away to visit his children not dip for a season thats completely unreasonable with the injury he has.

You tripping again. He can rehab anywhere that’s qualify to do so, the bucks aren’t the only once thats qualified to do so and I’m sure with the advancement in modern day medicine that data can be easily shared if need be or gasp he can fly back or someone can fly to him every so often to check and reevaluate. You have a slave master mentality if you think someone or money dictates his personal life off the court “within reason”.

I agree about not wanting the stentch of the prior era lingering around but its not easy to offload that kind of money especially if your Charlotte you don't want to be so desperate to trade him that you're attaching mutliple assets to get off his contract

Best way to get him out of there is get his value up and hope some team talks themselves into taking a chance
