Also not enough attention on Mathurin going 1/4 at the line in the clutch lol

wtf man

it didn’t exactly lose them the game but if he hits the first set they are down by 2 with idk like 2 mins left

Then the 2nd time off the stolen inbounds I knew as soon as he got passed the ball on the break that he was going to get fouled and I didn’t feel good

Almost wished he passed it to whoever it was in the corner for a 3

Nick Anderson vibes

Hope yall take the time to appreciate the high level of basketball we're watching and the quality of these teams

Intensity, tough shot making, defense, great coaching, healthy and talented teams

Imagine caring about the ratings or posting random social media smuts talking about how they won't be watching this series lol

It's so weird
Niggas acting like they work for Nielsen

I think Haliburton is proving in these Finals why he's not a superstar. That's not to trash him. Over these playoff, he's proved he's probably one of the most clutch players in the game today. That's good. But when you look at his actual numbers, particularly in the Finals, he's putting up decent #2/great #3 numbers not what you'd expect from a team's #1, He's not even playing bad. He's just not doing what a superstar should do especially in the losses.

Stop listening to the media. He is a really star player. Not superstar. Does Indiana need him to score 30 points a game, no!

lol How you going to act like I'm saying something wrong and then basically say what I said. I said he's not a superstar. You said the same thing. It would be fair to say that his team doesn't need him to score 30 if all they were doing was winning, but they aren't. Are you trying to tell me that the Pacers wouldn't have had a better shot at winning the two games they lost if he put up 30? I'm not saying he has to put up 30 a game, but part of what we expect of superstars is that they step up when the team needs it. I don't really see that from him. He plays well, but at the same basic level win or lose.

What do you mean by "basic level"?

Ignore basic. That makes it sound like I'm saying he's a run of the mill player. He's not. He just doesn't strike me as someone who can really elevate his game to match his team's need.

I might be offbase here, but let's just look at the Finals.

Game 1 and Game 3 avg: 18 pts, 9.5 rebs, 8.5 assts
Game 2 and Game 4 avg: 17.5 pts, 2.5 rebs, 6.5 assts

He's played decently in all four games. Still, those are not really #1 guy numbers by today's standards, and he really doesn't seem capable of putting the team on his back and carrying it to a win. That's what we expect from a superstar. Do people not agree with that?

I personally don't think he's a superstar player. He's the leader of a team that isn't built around 1,2 or 3 guys but is the sum of its parts.
