Get a new coach to move into a new era and they would really be set with a young up and coming squad
 
I sold my NAW stock but I'm really glad he's finally found his role in the NBA. I've always liked his game and wanted him to be a pelican for a long time

I will be rooting for him this playoffs

Yeah they fucked that up

I understand being hesitant and holding on to Trey Murphy but they should've been traded Herb

They messed up a chance to get real good value for him

Now he's shooting 30% from 3 with a 9.2 PER playing 20 games last season and less than 60 this season

Minnesota is very lucky they were able to find a suitable replacement with Ayo but he's still not as good as Alexander Walker and they had to expend more resources to trade for him than they wouldve if they had just paid and kept Nickeil

He's going to be fine. They'll still get good value for him.

If I had to guess, and I'm not saying this is the right approach but I see two options. They wait until AS break or maybe before Christmas

Both depend on team record. He may be packaged with Zion

The defense is cool (probably not in people’s minds like it was a few seasons ago) but the shooting regression coupled with his age is really going to hinder his value now

I'm too lazy to Google but I think his attempts also went up this year due to Borrego wanting him to shoot them more

It doesn't explain the regression but I think it will stabilize next year since that expectation has now been put on him to shoot the same clip but at a higher rate

Herb jones will be 28 next year and he has shot above 33% from three only once in his career so it’s a outlier that he’s a good shooter

Now you talking about him being packaged with Zion which lets you know his value has diminished

This is me objectively looking at herb jones too

I’m not saying he’s not valuable but the window to get decent stuff from trading him is probably over

Idk if Herb gets you more than 2 seconds and a matching player right now

Or they do a package with him by himself

I think you are the one who's over valuing him though. A second round pick who outplayed his rookie deal. If the pelicans can get 2 seconds for him, that's a decent deal
