Yup...and thing is shot selection/attempts was only really problem whenever Ja was out but you kind of need someone to soak up and take those bad shots when nobody else can do it. The stuff with LeBron is what really made Memphis say they were out



On the low someone else that they lost who was a big part of their culture and they never replaced was Kyle Anderson....dudes personality is hilarious because he doesnt come off that way but he stay talking crazy to teammates on the sideline lol

actually now that I think about it, it’s wild they moved bane

I GET it and I figured they would but in hindsight it should’ve been Ja instead

I would say Scotty pippen but he hurt too much

Yup I agree, I understand why they made the Bane move and they got a good return but they should've got ahead of this Ja stuff over the summer....could've always moved Bane if thats what you wanted to do

But like you said I get why they did it

Its not really wild that they moved bane its wild they moved bane and decided to hold on to ja and JJJ. It was over as soon as they made that trade. Should have given their coach a clean slate. But its probably ownership to blame.

I guess they thought a healthy Ja and JJJ with KENTAVIOUS CALLDWELL POPE and Zach Edey was going to go crazy

Thats I think

Probably felt if they can shuffle things around the margins they would be ok to at least be competitive and give it another try with this group


Like @Freeman said though, once you make that Bane trade you're signaling that its over and you dont believe in this anymore....cant make your team significantly worse by trading Bane for a vastly inferior player like KCP and say otherwiss
