You can now flip green, elect to trade Herro, or not extend Powell

You have roster flexibility with Oso, Dunn, and Maluach

You now have backup bigs at both spots

It’s not about this year for the pacers

They can now have

Hali
Green
Mathurin
Whoever they pick in boozer, Peterson, or Dybansta

And they now have actual legitimate big men on the team when they been looking under couch cushions for Centers for a year now

They now would have a starter and a backup

Also this team is young after the trade when Siakam is the older piece

But you don’t get to post that AD trade and then turn your nose up at these deals lol

You know better than me which way the heat want to go so I'll just say you got it.

Imo the pacers are better off with siakam. Thats a significant downgrade. They got that pick no matter what. Any moves made should be to improve the roster they don't need to consolidate on siakam. He's 31 and in great physical condition. Pacers can do better than that.

As far as Siakam I’m thinking down the road for the next 2-4 years

Why would I want Siakam on the team?

Cause you can jump right back in the mix with that group plus a top 10 pick. All they need is another C. You could potentially get that with the pick itself.

You're also forgetting about nembhard. Pacers have no use for green or oso. Doing that trade just to get mark Williams is hustling backwards.

How is a 18+ ppg scoring option in addition to Mathurin and the 2026 rookie not valuable?

how is Ighodaro not valuable when the pacers are playing Tony Bradley, Thomas Bryant, James wiseman, Isaiah Jackson (who I like but is 6’8) the past year?

There is no Myles Turner so mark williams at 23 years old isn’t worth anything ?

Why you want to see Siakam in his 30s steal mins potentially from cam boozer for example?

Jalen green is wild inefficient and a weak defender. Nembhard >>>

Oso isn't getting minutes if Jay huff, Jackson, toppin, walker are still in the picture not to mention youd be adding mark Williams to that mix. He would be completely redundant and buried on that roster.

Unless you actually draft cam boozer there's no reason to move off siakam until that becomes the reality.

I forgot about Jay huff honestly

I’m not keeping toppin and Jackson on the team at that point though

Oso can play small ball 5 or when there’s an injury mark williams and huff can duke it out to start

Why are you making it nembhard or green? Just have green off the bench

Paying green $33 million to come off the bench so you can trade siakam for mark Williams who is a free agent at the end of the season is not making sense to me. Mathurin is also a free agent and better than green and won't cost $33 mil.

There's alot being done for no reason lol. Not every team has to get younger for the sake of getting younger. Indiana is pretty young as is with a top 10 pick incoming.
 
Indiana shouldn't be doing shit until the lottery balls roll in.

All they need to do is shut players down, rehab them and hope for the best through being the worst this year.

You're pretending 31 is too old to compete for a championship which is hilarious but like I said if you're going to move off siakam you can do a lot better than mark Williams and a bad contract.
