Maxey legit. Edgecombe as all the potential regardless of how he does his rookie year. Grimes is getting better and can be a good starter or great bench player. Jared Mccain still young and imo has a good future.

They got lucky and set themselves up for the post Embiid years. They fucked it up by giving PG a 4 year contract but still, it's not a horrible core to have. And they mostly stumbled into it.

Id be happy if I was a sixers fan.

Biggest thing you have to give them props for is not panicking and trading away that pick for an established older star

Getting Maxey and then VJ literally saved this franchise

The injuries saved them from themselves.

Guaranteed they were planning on trading that pick. Then Embiid goes down. Then PG and Maxey and they get the 3rd pick.

That's why I call it luck.

I don't have faith that front office could have pulled it off this was their plan
