Burrow would likely be a favorite if his team was winning

It's supposed to be the most valuable player. AP should just create a new one called MVP QB or something

Take some of these QBs out. Is the team still going to win? If they are then that should disqualify him for it

That generally is the case. A QB may have really good numbers, but if his team doesn't make the playoffs, people point that out and don't consider him.

If the Bengals make the playoffs, Burrow will probably get some votes. If they don't, he won't.

Playing at a high level consistently is what they also look for....for instance the bucs didn't beat the lions because of mayfield he played horrible and he couldn't beat the falcons and the overtime game against panthers he played bad also

Some of that criticism is iffy. The Panthers game was rough, but Panthers took the lead with like 30 seconds left. Baker saved us in that game by getting it to OT. The Falcons OT loss he had 3 TD's 0 INT, 5 incomplete passes all game, and they scored 30 points. Not his fault the pass defense is trash and let Cousins throw over 500 yards and 4 TD.

But if that's the standard you gotta do it across the board. Darnold had 0 TD 3 INT against the trash Jaguars and they won. Went 14/31 0 TD/1INT vs the Jets and they won. Sam just has a better defense backing him up. Bucs only have 3 wins with Baker throwing less than 3 TD's. Vikings have 8.

I'm not saying Baker should be in MVP talks. I'm just saying if Darnold is, then Baker should be too.

I'm just saying darnold would get a consideration before baker....darnold went to the vikings as a backup and nobody had them winning the division with 14 (probably 15) wins this season....the bucs are what most people thought they are.... an average team with a good qb

Lol, we do. I was talking about common sense people but I get it. I just know Barkley got the record right there on a silver platter and it may never happen for him again.

He's 100yds shy of the tying the record. He averages 4yds before contact and plays behind the best Oline in the league. It will be at home so there's a smaller chance of the field being an issue. It's also against his former team. They should have let him try for the record
