I get why they passed on Brees. He only had 1 and half good seasons while Culpepper was more proven at that point. Both were coming off injuries. Culpepper’s knees and Brees shoulder.

Mike Tomlin would’ve lasted 3 years tops in that dysfunctional organization.

Eh, even back then I remember feeling that Brees had more an upside than Cuplpepper. He was terrible the year Moss left before he got hurt. Didn’t expect him to flop that bad in Miami tho.

Regardless you right I don’t think anyone would of succeeded in Miami with that front office.

I remember rumblings of Steelers fans wanting Tomlin fired a couple of years ago.

1) The organization would've been been dumb as all fucc if they were even bold enough t9 had pulled that trigger

2) IF they had made such an asinine decision as that...let's say they fired him at 10:00 am...by 10:04 am, he'd have 28 teams blowing up his phone wanting him to be their next HC.

And I say 28 b/c Pittsburgh fired him...Baltimore ain't gettin rid of Harbaugh...KC had Reid...and Jerry ain't hiring no black HC. All the other teams...open season

In 2008, Miami lucked into Chad Pennington, a soft schedule and Tom Brady getting hurt after one game and missing the rest of the year and Miami won the AFC East. Regime was still shit though
