I know what you're saying and I get it but....

If that Haliburton shot doesnt drop in and ties the game; we'd be having a completely different conversation right now. The Knicks probably would be in the finals right now. How is that Thibs fault? Kat ended up being KAT not to mention he got hurt at the end. And Jalen kinda got outplayed by Hali and Siakim... thats not on Thibs.

but like @AZTG said that trade for KAT was the end for Thibs unless they won it all and his breakdown of Thib's flaws did show themselves alot. I dont even kno who makes sense for yall but this incoming coach going to be under alot of pressure

It’s a downside if they hire Jalen’s dad as the head coach or they did it because a certain max player didn’t like the other players coach……… or the owner didn’t like the return on his investment after the big off season. LMAO

I think it’s more to this firing than most of us think right now.

On another note, I can understand why they fired Thibs and I can also understand why some would think to give him at least until next season to actually do more with the two big players they added in one off season.

Atleast I'm consistent calling for the changes I been calling for since the Detroit series and saying I need these changes even if the Knicks went to the finals. We were up 2-0 on Boston and I had my list of players that needed to go and Thibs needing to go.

The Knicks were over performing and I was the first to admit it and was scared the over performing was gonna make the front office think we was good and don't need to make moves.

Nothing says the next coach will be good or the Knicks won't be worse, but I'm glad they showing they willing to go for it and not settle

I don’t think they were brave enough. I think Dolan made them do it.
 
I also don't want to give Leon too much credit. If you extend the coach for 3 years and 30 mil, and fire the coach before the contract even kicks in throwing away 30 mil, that's the owners decision.

Either the Dolan decided to extend Thibs when Leon wanted to wait, or Thibs told them to get Thibs out of there even though Leon wanted to keep him.

30 mil is like what Dolan made off 1 series in these playoffs, so I know he ain't hurting, but 30 mil is still 30 mil
