If you really want someone with ties to the organization you should be doing everything possible to get Will Hardy from Utah

I actually just read the article about Michael Malone getting fired and I knew he didn't like playing the younger players, but reading that made me not want him in San Antonio even more. LMAO.

As much as I understand trying to run things back after winning, if the owners give the GM a mandate to cut cost, they have to cut cost. Booth did the correct thing in my opinion not over paying for Malone's guys in Brown and KCP. He screwed up giving those deals to, Naji, Saric, Michael Porter Jr., and to a smaller extent Jamal Murray though. It's understandable why Porter Jr. and Murray got paid, but he definitely should've tried to talk down the price or years of those deals. LOL.

Booth was correct in trying to find your 2 or 3 real core guys, a few solid rotation dudes, and filling the rest of the roster with cheap rookie or young player deals. The rookies/young guys (if they turn out like Braun) if given a chance to actually play could really help keep the team competitive year in and year out due to the smaller deals.
