It's fucked up cause you're positioning and asking professionals to be poor at their jobs so you can have a chance at picking up a player/s who will ultimately take money and opportunity out of their pockets.

All players gotta go through that cycle I guess but it becomes vicious when teams can incentivize losing cause as a player trying to get a next deal or players that genuinely just want to work hard and win it's like "wtf am I doing here?"

If that's all you have to show for 3 years of tanking I wouldn't feel good about that but to each their own


They either have to strike gold this year in the lottery and/or trade for someone because they'll never get a marquee free agent and they don't have any true foundational building blocks on this roster imo

Who would you have them sign instead? Realistically.

Well seeing as though I'm not a GM for a multi-billion dollar franchise with a whole scouting department, oh and I don't get paid for it, I just post on here sometimes...it's not really my job to answer that question. Word to Howie Roseman. However, here's some moves I probably would have made...

NOT sign 40 year old 6 foot Kyle Lowry for 1 year 3 million
NOT sign 36 year old Eric Gordon for 2 years 6 million
SIGN Cam Payne for the vet minimum(oh look, that's what the Knicks did)
Actually try and sign an actual PG because Maxey is not a 1, he's a 2 guard that should only be focused on getting buckets (I guess this was supposed to be Lowry? LMAO okay)

Then again, we also got a coach who starts Yabusele at the 5 against Sabonis when he had 6'10 Adem Bona on a DNP and has a love affair with Kyle Lowry even when he's recorded multiple games with 0 points...but I mean it's all Embiid's fault right
