But I think it’s because with butler atleast, you have to have at minimum a 3 team trade so in that scenario Beal HAS to be moved

If the third team was the bulls who would take lavine? Heat don’t want him

In a general trade sense lavine is more valuable than Beal but lavine’s value is still not that great and you have to attach something like Lonzo maybe but who is trading for lavine/Lonzo and what are they giving up for the bulls to be satisfied?

Beal is easier in a sense to move but I just lost my train of thought as to why

And That’s why the suns are trying to get him to waive it

The alternative is coming off the bench for a wack suns team that might not even make the playoffs

If he’s cool with that that’s fine

Jimmy will stay in Miami until he gets moved or he opts in and then plays for Miami next year (which is funny because the Heat don’t want that but I can argue Jimmy doesn’t want that either)

You have to accommodate that other player to make up for lavine

Lavine 2 years then a player option

Jimmy opt in this summer plus he wants a 2 year deal

or just extension as soon as a team trades for him which is 3 years

Butler has taken a team to the finals 2 times since 2020 and 3 conf finals

He’s way more valuable to a good team than lavine who is hurt historically just as much as Jimmy is and Jimmy is the better “leader” and two way player

people who trade for lavine have to worry about his health AND wonder if he’s a player you can have on a contending team

He’s done nothing for team success his entire career for teams to feel good about

Going back to the Fox thing, he has no cache around the league
