Stephon Castle is the real deal. I usually try to be measured with my praise and criticism, but he is gonna be really good. He has also showed that he is really a point guard, like it was reported he told teams during the draft combine interviews.

We still have a long way to go, but I really like the direction this team is headed and Mitch Johnson definitely deserves a ton of credit for taking over during this whole ordeal with coach Pop. If we keep playing as well as we have, I think we have the heir apparent already on the bench.

Memphis has done a great job of finding late drafted, undrafted, and young free agents. Their scouting department and GM deserves a ton of credit.

It’s always a good thing when a team can identify and develop late draft picks, undrafted players or castoffs.

It’s always a good thing when a team can identify and develop late draft picks, undrafted players or castoffs.

GM’s that can find those types of gems are what keep teams competitive for a long time. RC Buford was one of the best at doing it with the Spurs. We always found good role players late or undrafted, even found 2 hall of fame players. Buford should make the hall of fame as an executive in my opinion.

Mikal 3 is still not what it was either. He's been the weakest of the starting 5 easily.
