He's not ready defensively for full time starter minutes and a bucket getter off the bench will be more valuable than a 4th option scorer as a starter.

Yikes looking at Mikal Bridges numbers for the season so far...the traditional and advance stats are pretty bad

For me the concern is more about the defense than the offense though


His defense really fell off in Brooklyn compared to his time in Phoenix but I gave him a pass because he was carrying a much heaving offensive load so I understood their would be some slippage......I figured once he got to the Knicks he could settle back into being an elite perimeter defender and those on ball reps he got with the Nets would be useful whenever that was needed from him but that hasn't been the case

Usage rate lower than it was Phoenix before he got traded, efficiency down and he looks like he just isn't capable of being the same defender he was in Phoenix, he's really regressed on that end
