Less Kendricks more Stuart scottsBoo fucking hoo
Those journalists don’t know what it’s like when you’re in various situations as a player or team, so having someone next to the play by play man to give insight makes sense.Less Kendricks more Stuart scotts
Guys who did it who have media presencesOn court experience trumps media training that those players will get anyway. I wanna hear from guys that did it not who was trained to talk good.
Yeah it sucks for guys that are getting left by the wayside but that happens in every industry. When no one is experienced you can't lean on anyone experienced that's the only reason herbs held those jobs so long. Now you got guys that are experienced and can translate to broadcasting vs guys that can talk to a mic well but can't articulate what it's like to be in certain moments, what sets teams are running, what players or coaches might be thinking etc.
I want real insight. Not just a mfs opinion.
I’m not saying only players should be color commentators manThose journalists don’t know what it’s like when you’re in various situations as a player or team, so having someone next to the play by play man to give insight makes sense.
That's ideally what I'd like to see.Would you be ok with a pre/post/halftime show that has the following:
Player/coach/exec Host
2/3 players/coaches/exec
Insider
I’m just using that as an example. Regardless of the situation, having ex players around is a good thing. Ian Eagle is great but he don’t have the insight of a Vince Carter who actually played. Earnie is great but Shaq, Charles and Kenny played, Earnie don’t know nothing about that aspect of the sport no matter how knowledgeable someone is.I’m not saying only players should be color commentators man
Those two guys are better than those players that you just mentioned at the same jobI’m just using that as an example. Regardless of the situation, having ex players around is a good thing. Tom haberstroh admittedly is a student of the game, remains neutral on broadcasts but he's 1 of 1. I don't have problem with him except that his analysis is largely just his opinion it's not based in any on court experience. I also don't agree that he's clear cut above all of the guys you mentioned but that's a pointless debate.Guys who did it who have media presences
Kevin Garnett
Paul Pierce
Kendrick Perkins
Dennis Scott
Gilbert arenas
Jeff Teague
Rasheed Wallace
Stephen Jackson
Jamal Crawford
Vince Carter
Etc
Just because you did it before doesn’t mean you can do a better job than guys going to school for this or guys who work beats for years then get an analyst role
Tom haberstroh >>>>
What's the alphabet gang? Two naysayers are from alphabet gang
Big surprise
They should be better that’s not the point. Can someone with no playing experience tell someone who played what to do in various situations? No. That’s what ex players provide. Those two guys are better than those players that you just mentioned at the same job
Nobody wants to hear shaq ever nigga
You’re boiling this down to who would you rather listen to and that’s not even the argument
Just get ready for the nuggets man
Okay suckioTTBF

Nah, the team will bottom out as the season goes.
