NFL will play a regular-season game in Spain in 2025 for the first time ever, the league announced Friday.
The first-ever game on Spanish soil will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, home to decorated soccer club Real Madrid.
Hosting a game in Madrid is the latest part of the NFL's efforts to increase global reach. The league announced earlier that a Week 1 game will be played in Brazil in 2024. The United Kingdom, Mexico, and Germany have also hosted NFL games
