The Bengals tanked in that game since they had nothing to play for and this pissed off Goodell so that prompted him to change it to only division games in the last week of the season.
Figured it was due to divisional games having slightly better tv numbers or something.
But hell that shit still happens in divisional games. It seems there's rarely a week 17 game that decides a division.
On that Sunday Night spot one team tanking and not trying is kind of a bad look imo. If this game was buried in the 1PM slot he wouldn’t have cared.
I think that game lead to a lot more flexing the schedule late in the season, than week 17 divisional games.
